Alison Krauss
Alison Krauss' first taste of recognition as a fiddler happened in 1990. She was 19 years old and got the Grammy for Best Bluegrass Album. The win was a feat not just due to the artist's age, but also because the album which earned her such recognition, I've Got That Old Feeling It was actually the third in Krauss's collection. Too Late To Cry is her first album. It debuted in Champaign Illinois as she was 16. at the age of 14, she signed an agreement for her debut album with Rounder Records - one of the world's top folk music labels. Her achievements in such a short time and her incredible virtuosity has always been measured by her devotion to bluegrass, the oldest and possibly the most neglected form of traditional American form of musical expression. Krauss is now an adult, having grown from being a teenager phenom to an experienced music producer and musician.
